It Never Fails

Jon and I can not seem to go out of the country without one of us getting sick. We're talking gastrointestinal mayhem kind of sick. I mean, really, folks, it's fucking ridiculous.

I was the lucky winner this time. Let's just say it was not pleasant. Despite drinking only bottled water and being very careful of what I ate (not to mention the fact that the resort we were staying at had impeccable standards). I am grateful for the fact that I was not stricken with my malady until the day before we left.

Still. Not pleasant.

The irony here? The one place in the world where neither of us got sick (even though we drank the water, ate the ice and indulged in street food to our hearts' content) was Thailand.

The universe clearly has a sense of humor.

Oh, man, I wish you hadn't posted this! I've been trying to get Catherine to go to Mexico (harmless old Baja!) and she won't do it for fear of Montezuma's revenge. Are you sure your weren't in Nicaragua or something?

Oh no! Well, you were having tummy troubles going into this, so you might not have had the consitutional fortitude necessary to fend off the gastrobuggies. Hope you're feeling better!

OMG did you kinow that 28 Days Later has a sequel coming out? 28 Weeks Later! As a zombie fan, we should totally check this movie out when it's in theaters.

Plus, yeah, getting sick in Mexico is never good. I had it happen once, but it only lasted about 3 hours. 3 very horrible hours.
