Back From the Heartland

I have returned from the cabin in the woods on the lake in Minnesota. And I am glad to be home.

There was very little restaurant going but I did make the most bitchin' s'mores that you ever did see.

I've got some eating (and writing) to catch up on. While you are waiting might I suggest that you try out the soft serve Straus ice cream (with olive oil and sea salt to boot) at Pizzeria Picco for a perfectly tasty summer treat. Bring some home for me.

Ok - i don't just don't get it - the picco straus soft serve that is - especially when a 5 minute drive down the road at Tabla there might be some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted made from only them freshest local sustainable ingredients. But don't pay attention me - I am the most non-icecreamy person you could ever chance to meet.

welcome back btw :)
see you soon

Ahh, but Ben, you did not read carefully enough. I was in Minnesota, but that does not mean I was in Minneapolis. On the contrary, I was in the middle of nowhere about 1.5 hrs. north.

I read very carefully. I happen to know that the vast majority of flights into Minnesota at least make a stop in MSP, if not terminate there.

Yes, but we landed at 11 and my in laws came to get us and weren't keen on any detours. We left on the 4th and 112 was closed. Ha! Check and mate.
