My 2 1/2 yo is frightening as well at Dim Sum. I can't get him to eat a quarter of what he eats at dim sum. In addition, if I'm sure he's just trying to show me up, because he eats anything at Dim Sum... yet when I cook at home... The evilness of toddlers and the true, absolute joy.

Glad to hear Diner #3 is doing so well! Just realize that he's getting spoiled by all the great food of the Bay Area and will have a hard time when traveling to other parts of the world where fine dining isn't quite the same.

We just returned from a month in Europe (Scandinavia, Baltics, St Petersburg), and my 6 year old was totally jones-ing for fresh salsa today! She already has the rest of the week's lunches planned to all the best spots for her favorite foods -- local taqueria for the tastiest refried beans, Thai resto for tom kha gai, and Pizza Antica in Santana Row for the best pizza. "And you have to make my favorite broccolini cooked in the oven too!"
