I took my 2 year old son to Delfina over the Memorial Day weekend and my eyes filled up with tears of pride as he devoured their divine spaghetti (without the chili). The server (who was amazing) recommended the ricotta pancake for the baby which was the perfect choice. Yours will love it when he can really chew. Thanks for the posts -- I miss seeing them more often but know how hard those first months of parenthood are. I definitely think the service can be hit or miss at times, but I've never been disappointed with the food. I must put it back on my list of restaurant to-do's. The pizza was definately out of this world great!<BR/><BR/>However, I just wanted to say how sad I was after dining at A16 the other night. Based on your writings and those of other foodie friends, I had all these expectations. Maybe I also added to those expectations because I had my first date with my partner there 11 years ago when it was Zinzino's...<BR/><BR/>But unfortunately it was not a great experience. The bar/wine experience was great, but the food? Boring at best. The beans might be fit for diner #3, and I don't begrudge him that experience, but the indigestion I experienced afterwards haunted me for about 24 hours afterwards. It certainly inhibited my romantic night at the Hotel Vitale.<BR/><BR/>The pizza? Again, nothing exciting, certainly compared to Delfina, Pazzia, or even B (Oakland). The lamb dish looked pathetic on the plate and taste-wise was again, nothing exciting. Maybe we ordered the wrong things?
